Yeen's BEST Steak Marinade

Updated: Mar 23, 2020

We've been working on this recipe for years. When we're making steak, this is our favorite way to elevate all the flavors from the steak and have quite literally the best meal of your life.

Ingredients:

-1/2 cup barbecue sauce, we like Sweet Baby Ray's

-3 tbsp olive oil

-3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

-2 tbsp steak sauce, like A1

-1 tbsp red wine vinegar

-1 tbsp soy sauce

-2 tsp steak seasoning

-1 tsp hot sauce, like Tabasco

-1 clove garlic, minced

-2 tbsp beer, whatever you're currently drinking

-4 (8 oz) Ribeye Steaks

Instructions:

1. In a large container with a lid, combine and whisk together the first 10 ingredients. Add the steak to the bowl and ladle the marinade onto the steak.

2. Refrigerate the steak for at least 4 hours, or overnight.

3. Take the steak out of the refrigerator 1 hour before grilling, allow the steak to reach room temperature to cook evenly. Drain and discard the marinade.

4. Grill steak, covered, over medium high heat for 4 1/2 minutes on each side, for a nice medium rare, or until the meat reaches your desired doneness.

(Thermometer Readings, 145 degree for Medium-Rare, 160 degrees for Medium, 170 degrees for Well-Done)

5. Move the steak to a cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

For Traeger Grills:

1. Preheat Traeger to 450 degrees.

2. Add butter to a cast iron skillet place over high heat. Allow the butter to melt and add the steaks.

3. Cook for 2 minutes on each side or until there is a nice sear on each edge.

4. Transfer steaks directly onto the grill and cook:

4-5 minutes for rare

5-6 minutes for medium-rare

6-7 minutes for medium

5. Move the steak to a cutting board and let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
