Squid Ink Tagliatelle with Spicy Mushrooms

This halloweek, we decided to do something kind of spooky with this black pasta made of Squid Ink and spicy mushroom "skulls!"


Ingredients:

-4 tablespoons olive oil plus more for garnish

-1 tablespoon crushed red chili flakes

-1/2 tablespoon freshly ground pepper

-1/4 tablespoon salt

-1 pound mushrooms, sliced

-4 servings Squid Ink Pasta (find the recipe for 2 servings here)


Instructions:

1. In a large pan heat oil at medium high heat. Add mushrooms and spices. Cook until the mushrooms have cooked down.

2. Cook the pasta in a large pot of water. Reserve 2 cups of pasta water and add to the mushroom sauce.

3. Add Squid Ink Pasta into the pan and toss until that pasta is coated in oil. If there is not enough oil to coat the pasta, add more and toss until they are coated.

4. Serve hot and enjoy!
