Spicy Squid Ink Pasta with Calamari

Squid on squid on squid. If you're like me, you can not get enough of this delicious seafood, breaded, fried, inked.. you gotten love how versatile calamari can be.



Ingredients:

-Squid Ink Spaghetti (Find the Squid Ink Pasta Dough Recipe here and the Spaghetti instructions here)

-4 tbsp olive oil, plus more for tossing

-2 cloves garlic

-2 tbsp crushed red pepper flakes, plus more for garnish

-1 lb Calamari rings and tenticles, not breaded (We found a Walmart was the only local store to carry this.)


Instructions:

1. In a large pan, heat olive oil. Once heated add garlic and crushed red pepper flake and saute until fragrant about 2 minutes.

2. Add Calamari and stir to coat. Saute in oil about 3-4 minutes, or until fully cooked.

3. Toss pasta and Calamari mixture until pasta is coated in oil, add more oil if necessary.

4. Serve pasta in individual bowls with crushed red pepper flakes and olive oil drizzled on top.
