Spicy Sausage Rigatoni is my personal favorite when I'm feeling a little sophisticated but simple. To make this pasta, you will first need to make Rigatoni.
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
-1 pound Hot Italian Sausage
-1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
-2 cloves garlic, diced
-1 quart Homemade tomato sauce
- 6 oz tomato paste
-1 tablespoons Italian Seasoning
-1/2 teaspoon fresh parsley
-Salt and pepper to taste
-Parmesan for garnish
Instructions:
1. Heat olive oil in a skillet on medium high heat. Once the oil is heated, add the Italian Sausage, garlic, and optional red pepper flakes if you like a little extra heat. Cook the sausage until it's cooked through.
2. Add Tomato Sauce and Tomato Paste to the skillet with the rest of the seasonings. Once the sauce is heated, taste and add more seasoning if desired.
3. Toss the pasta and the sauce together and serve topped with parmesan.
