Eat your heart out Lobster Mac and Cheese, this Shrimp Mac and Cheese is incredible! This dish will make kids and adult alike jump with joy, we personally can't get enough of this combination!
Ingredients:
-1 lb shrimp, washed and deveined
- Salt and Pepper to taste
-8 oz Bacon, diced
-8 oz Gruyere, Shredded
-1 cup Heavy Cream
Instructions:
1. In a large pot of salt boiling water, begin to cook the macaroni.
2. In the meantime, heat a large skillet to medium high heat. Cook the bacon to your liking, I like when the fat is limp and the edges are crispy.
3. Remove bacon from the pan and place on a plate lined with a paper towel.
4. Add shrimp to the bacon fat and cook until the shrimp is pink.
3. Add the cooked Macaroni to the pan and stir to coat the pasta in the leftover bacon fat. Return the bacon to the pan. Add the cheese and cream to the pan and stir until the cheese has melted. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer until the cream has thickened.
4. Serve Mac and Cheese in separate bowls and extra pepper.
