Basil Pesto

If you have too much basil, like us, the best and tastiest way to use it is to make homemade pesto. Luckily this Pesto recipe is a fast and easy way to use up basil!

Ingredients:

-2 cups basil, adding spinach can help bulk your pesto too

-1/3 cup pine nuts

-1/3 cup shredded or grated Parmesan

-3 cloves garlic

-1/2-3/4 cups olive oil


Instructions:



1. Take the basil leaves off the stems. Put all basil leaves in a food processor with pine nuts. Process the basil and pine nuts until they are well combined and in small pieces. If you are using spinach, add that now too.



2. Add Parmesan and garlic to the processor and process again until combined.



3. While pulsing the Pesto, slowly add the olive oil to the processor. Process until smooth and creamy.



4. Add pesto to your favorite pasta and serve!
